If you have a rental car, it takes just under an hour to reach Sayulita from Puerto Vallarta. If driving - stop at one of the local fruit stands along the way as you near Sayulita and grab come local candies or fresh fruit - the jugo de yaka was delicious! For those not wanting to deal with a rental car, you can grab a taxi from the airport for about 1000 pesos or you can also grab a local city bus from Puerto Vallarta - just look for a windshield saying 'Sayulita' - the price will only set you back only about $2.

Naty's Cocina - If you are looking for a true taco experience - Naty's is hands down the winner! Quick and authentic, this is one stop that can't be missed! Only open for limited hours, Naty's hours will fluctuate as they will close when they run out of food for the day. El Itacate - Probably our favorite place to eat in Sayulita. Everything on the menu that we've had has been delicious but if you are a cheese fan, this is a must visit! One of their signature dishes - that the restaurant is actually named for is the Itacate where instead of using a tortilla on their burritos they used fried cheese - WOW, delicious!
